Farewell February

February has come and gone. However, the lessons remain! Last month here at H.O.P. we explored how our sexual trauma has impacted our capacity to give and receive love and our Catalytic Conversation was empowering. We heard from the perspective of ten different women and it was a beautiful tapestry of interwoven stories each bringing individual perspectives that united while also highlighting our unique lived experiences.

Take a listen to a snippet from the conversation and make sure you click here to experience the entire segment.

Is it “Safe” to love?

As we wrapped up the conversation we all came to a magical place of understanding that it isn’t so much that “love doesn’t live here anymore” it’s that Love requires vulnerability and vulnerability can be scary.

What it requires is a sense of safety, one we must first cultivate with and within ourselves. Feeling unsafe creates distance, it is a barrier to connection and that barrier becomes impossible to surmount if we are not aware of it, which is why in all things H.O.P. awareness is step number ONE!

It is safe to love YOU! Let’s start there!
