Adult Sexual Assault

The following questions ask the respondent to identify if they have experienced certain forms of sexual assault and/or harassment as an adult, which is considered eighteen years and older.

Sexual Assault is defined in this survey as:

The term “sexual assault” refers to a range of behaviors that involve unwanted, coercive, or forceful sexual contact or conduct. Sexual assault can include rape, attempted rape, and any form of unwanted sexual touching.

31 out of 105 respondents answered yes to being sexually assault by a friend and of those 31, sixteen said the assault was rape.

Of those sixteen, 6% are AMAB, 94% are AFAB, 63% cis-female, 6% cis-male, 13% genderfluid, 19% nonbinary, and 63% identified as LGBTQIA+.

41 out of 105 respondents answered yes to being sexually assault by a family member and of those 41, seventeen said the assault was rape.

Of those seventeen 6% are AMAB, 94% are AFAB, 71% cis-female, 6% cis-male, 6% genderfluid, 18% nonbinary, and 18% identified as LGBTQIA+.

Military Sexual Assault

Different forms of sexual assault experienced while in the military

Out of those to whom this applied 20% identified as cis-het men, 60% cis-het women, 10% identified as non-binary, 10% as LGBTQIA+.

*The men experienced more sexual harassment while the women endured multiple forms of sexual assault including rape and attempted rape.
